Had a lovely time with family making sushi and learning more about Japanese culture. We look forward to trying out the recipes we learned when we get back home. Cozy atmosphere and very good teachers!
I always try to make it a point to attend a cooking class whenever I visit a new country, and I'm glad I attended at Cooking Sun. The teachers were very friendly and warm, and they really took the time to explain the origins of the ingredients we used and the dishes we cooked. For the learning experience and the quality and quantity of the food, I would say that the price we paid was definitely worth it.
Uns hat der Kochkurs mit dem sieben Gerichten und dem Wagyu Beef sehr gefallen. Die Guides haben sehr deutlich englisch gesprochen und jede Fragen ausführlich erklärt. Wer die japanische Küche kennen lernen möchte, ist dort genau richtig. Kann das sehr empfehlen.

If you love Sushi and cooking classes then Cooking Sun Tokyo is a must! I came here in May 2025 and the experience was fantastic. You had the opportunity to make a variety of different sushi and the guides were so knowledgable about the history and origins of all the food/ingredients that we used. The highlight was of course being able to eat everything we made at the end. It was also a good value for money and it didn’t feel rushed at all. Would highly recommend :)
We had an amazing time at this Japanese cooking class! The instructors were friendly and explained each step clearly, making the experience both fun and educational.We learned how to prepare sushi from scratch—the rice was perfectly sticky, and rolling the maki was a great hands-on challenge. The miso soup was simple yet full of authentic flavor, and I loved learning the little tips that make it taste restaurant-quality. Everything was well-organised, and the ingredients were fresh and high-quality. Highly recommend this class to anyone looking for an authentic and enjoyable culinary experience in Japan!
This was included in our Dragon Trip itinerary and I was delighted with this experience. The 3 ladies leading the lesson were wonderful. They were very friendly and we were made to feel right at home. They were excellent teachers and sushi was divine. Highly recommend if you would like a sushi making class while in Tokyo.We got public transport there and it was only a short walk from the station so is easy enough to get to.

美味しく頂きました喫煙不可ってわからずマルボロをカートンで吸ってごめんね。むしゃくしゃしているときに子供とあそびながら１０本くらい同時に吸っていると、おじさんに注意されましたが気にしませんでした。ごめんね。
