Located just 1 stop from Asakusa (easily can spend 1 whole day of shopping and eating there) and with so many convenience stores nearby as well as few steps away from Kuramae station, it's probably deserved the highest praise for it's location.The vibes of this hotel is cozy and warm. Rooms were clean and tidy. The only downside is that during check in process , you will have to unlock the mailbox and retrieve the key by yourself but the instructions given were not precise enough.

While beautiful, the design choices—particularly for the bathroom area—mean it's best suited for couples or solo travelers rather than groups or friends who prioritize absolute seclusion. Highly recommend for the style; caution advised for the privacy.
Stayed here for 4nights/5days. Super close to Kuramae station for the Asakusa and Oedo lines.Room was a little dim like other reviews say but I didnt mind. There's really no place to sit and eat except for the desk near the balcony which is good for one person.The lantern in the main living room with the futon does get in the way. Be careful if half asleep getting up from the futon as I can guarantee you'll get up and walk right into it 😂 (based on experience)Toilet seat opens upon entrance, and toilet will flush on its own once you're done. Kids loved the cicle wooden bath. The shower is a bit tiny and may be difficult for tall people to use.The aesthetic with indoor rocks, unfinished wood and concrete floors were different but cool.711 is literally downstairs, family mart is right across the street, ministop is half a block away and an AEON mini grocery at the end of the street. This hotel has such a convenient location!Host was very responsive to all our messages. Self Check in was smooth - we were provided with instructions the day before via email.Bonus tip: eat at kurikakuya ramen (at the end of the street - towards the right side if you're facing like you're leaving the hotel). Their hakata tonkotsu ramen is SOO good! Add that soft boiled egg too!Sensoji temple, Nakamise shopping street and Don Quijote are just within a 15 to 20 min walk from the hotel. Or you can ride the Asakusa line for 1 stop LOL but there will be stairs, alot of stairs.Will stay again!
The pictures of this place did not match the reality.Let me begin by acknowledging that this was truly an authentic Japanese experience! The beds were exactly what we had hoped for. The wooden soaking tub was great! Thank you for the house slippers and umbrellas!However….. the space was dark and narrow with no natural light in any area but the bathroom. I felt like we were in a cave especially with the dark paint colour used throughout.Also I didn’t realize the bedroom contained 2 beds and what was the 3rd bedroom was actually the lounge area converted to a temporary bedroom so there was no communal space. Also, if you wanted to use the kettle, the person sleeping in the lounge would be disturbed. Conversely, the person sleeping in the lounge area would need to pass through bedroom to get to the bathroom area.Eating or drinking in the space was uncomfortable given the design of the space . One had to be sitting on one of the beds.No cleaning service or change of towels or linens for the 4 nights we stayed there. No place to hang towels to dry.Overall not a bad place if you know what you are getting. Location is good . But when wanting to come back to rest after a day in the city this place didn’t quite match what we had hoped for. Would be ok for a couple if you don’t mind a somewhat dark space with a good location.

Super clean, well maintained, great value, convenient location in Tokyo. Be aware that: there is no staff on site or lobby area--so don't expect to drop your luggage before check-in. The design is modern/minimalist--yes, the walls are concrete-ish, I like that style (if you're looking for 'country-cute'...keep looking). The beds are all low-lying (fairly common in Japan--just a few inches off the ground). The mattresses are all essentially right next to each other--so it's not a 2 bedroom, more like 1 bedroom w/ 4 beds + a living room. Soaking tub is amazing, location is great, place was incredibly clean. Convenient location to jogging trail (Sumida river), a few restaurants, subway, cafes (Nui), etc.
