実験所が近く、研究者に最適な宿泊地です。
プライベートバス付きの部屋が選べて快適です。
最新の5号棟や風呂付きの部屋が入っている棟とは違って、風呂なしの1号棟は人気がないですが、気にしなければ快適です。トイレは共同ですがしっかりウォシュレット。ある意味、昔懐かしいムードに浸れます。
This is not a dormitory open to the general public, it is mainly intended for researchers and other people working at KEK for small period of time. It is a comfortable and relatively inexpensive hotel with mostly single rooms. The are washing machines, common kitchens and vending machines.During one of my stays I had to report a mold problem on the AC, so I am not exactly a fan of the cleanliness of the rooms, but even with that they are still the best option in terms of price and comfort when visiting KEK.
いつもクタクタの状態で、仮眠しにいきます。風呂の水を開けるとき、洗面側に少し溢れてきました。仮眠後、早朝に宿舎を出ると、鳥が元気に鳴いていました！😁疲労困憊して、5号棟に泊まる。これはビジネスホテルだ💞💞💞
The rooms at Building 3 are actually really nice, and they come clean your room around once every 2 days. There are washing machines and dryers you can use freely, and the "kitchenette" is more like an actual kitchen complete with stoves, and everything a normal kitchen usually has. The toilet is nice, but doesn't have those electric bidets. Also worth to mention that you can borrow a bicycle from the User's Office. My only gripe is that the city is just too far away by bicycle (30++ mins, with certain parts of the route unmaintained and overgrown), so unless you have a car or willing to cook, you're stuck with the vending machines only as the cafe and store close quite early. The bus is not that frequent, the bus stop is not adequately lit at night and the fare is quite considerable for students.

Room is sparkling clean. There is 2 types of room available: one with a bathroom in itself and other one without (there is a public bathroom in each floor if you get this kind of room). Towel and pajamas are included in the package. There is laundry machine, food and beverage vending machine inside the building. Rental bicycle is also available.
I have been visiting the KEK since 2009. The users office and dormitory staff is very helpful. Room rates are very reasonable. Room with an attached bathroom is a better option. Utensils are provided in the kitchens. Some of the lounges have been converted to meeting rooms - it's now very convenient to conduct meetings in the dormitory. The wifi connection is good. The dormitory lacks central air conditioning and lifts.
Good enough as a dormitory... Too far from the city.

周辺のオススメ
子どもがお世話になりました。ありがとうございました。筑波の水(水道水)は水質が良かったようです(笑)しかしながら、衛生環境には意見ありです。毛布には、髪の毛の付着が目立っていたとのこと。リネン類は宿泊者自身の掃除努力の範疇を超えますので、ご確認とご対応をお願いします。また、雑草が相当伸びてましたので、草刈りについてもご検討をお願い致します。
