My family (4 of us) stayed in Hotel Toki for the first part of our trip to Tokyo and our first ever trip to Japan. I have to say after staying in different areas and different apartment style hotels (Mimaru and MONday), Hotel Toki stood out! It is in a quiet location, very close to Ueno Station (less than 10 minute walk). There are many restaurants within 5 minutes, all delicious. A 7-11 right outside the hotel. I have to say the location felt perfect.The hotel itself had everything my family needed, a small kitchen, microwave, laundry (the shower is the dryer - it's neat and works really well), water bottles every day, the beds are comfortable, the apartment is new and clean and the hotel staff are extremely helpful and can speak English. It is a smaller hotel and the location is quiet, so it was easy to get comfortable quickly. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.I am already dreaming about going back.
Hotel Toki was the perfect accommodation for a family of 6 by Tokyo standards. Everyone had a little space to themselves and the dining table was a good communal area. The bathrooms were spotless as well as the kitchen area and refrigerator. Our room was serviced twice and they even replaced our slippers. Air conditioning made it comfortable during June Japan weather. The washing machine was clutch! Though it was a much smaller capacity, we were able to do laundry to conserve on suitcase space. We dried everything in the tub/shower room that had a cool heating function. Most of the staff we encountered were friendly, helpful and spoke English. They even assisted with forwarding our luggage to our next destination. It's close to multiple train station entrances and Ameyoko Market with a gazillion dining options was just across the street. There is a 7Eleven just a few feet away from the hotel lobby and we made frequent stops there in the morning/evening. There is an ATM in there as well if you need.The bathroom sink is spacious but left no room for us to set toiletries down. So instead, bc we didn't do any cooking, we set most of those items over in the kitchenette. It was the counter space we needed. The elevator is also extremely tiny so for a party of 6 with luggage going up on the first day and coming down on the last day, we had to take two trips. We narrowly fit all of us in the elevator on a regular day, but it was fine.Overall, I would book at this location again if I were staying in Ueno.
Hotel Toki was wonderful. We were a family of four adults and had booked a family room. It came with two double beds, a sofa, a closet and a table. There was a refrigerator, microwave and a mini kitchen. The room size was decent and in great condition. The toilet and sink were separated from the bath room. The bath room had a drying feature for drying clothes and it worked great. Room also had a top loader clothes washing machine. Walking distance to the Ueno station as well as several other train stations including the station to catch Skyliner to NRT. Very safe area. Amazing shopping (like UNIQLO) and restaurants nearby. Very close to 7-11. All in all highly satisfied and the best out of the five different hotels we stayed on this Japan trip. Short hop by train or taxi to other shopping areas like Ginza, Kappanbashi street (kitchenware) and many more. Courteous and helpful staff. Was able to store luggage on the day of arrival and the day of check-out. Glad to come back here again! Highly recommend this hotel.

周辺のオススメ
Cet hôtel mérite toutes les louanges des avis donnés. Il est petit mais bien tenu, le personnel est vraiment sympathique et serviable. La chambre est véritablement un petit appartement avec tout ce qu'il faut : de l'espace, des grands lits, une machine à laver (indispensable à tout voyageur), une table à manger, un coin cuisine. On s'y sent vraiment à l'aise en comparaison des autres hôtels de notre séjour. Deux grandes stations de métro sont à 7 ou 8mn. Le supermarché Takeya à 6mn n'est pas trop cher et tax free (sauf les sous-sol). Si vous cherchez un bon hôtel pour 4 ou 5 personnes près de Ueno, c'est un très bon choix, 100% recommandé.
