Swung by this lovely shop a few days ago where I bought the Tatami Slip-On Loafers (they were so comfortable the first time wearing them out to dinner- highly recommend) and my lady purchased the Tatami Sandal Slippers! The owner/designer was so kind and accommodating. Make sure to reach out via IG to make an appointment before showing up to the shop. Thanks again and I will definitely continue supporting! APPOINTMENT ONLY BUT VERY WORTH IT!!!I am a shoe collector and own over 10 pairs of loafers, their shoes are very high quality and durable made in Japan. Very unique and innovative tatami insoles comfortable and anti bacteria. Come check it out if you love stylish shoes!
I stopped by Liberato Tokyo and was really impressed by their tatami loafers. The woven tatami insole feels incredibly comfortable and keeps your feet cool, and the leather quality is excellent. The design is elegant but still very Japanese in spirit. The staff were also very welcoming and helpful with sizing. A special place if you appreciate craftsmanship and unique footwear. I highly recommend paying a visit!
On our way to Tokyo Skytree, we made a nice little detour to Liberato Tokyo, a Japanese design shop with unique tatami-style items. We were lucky it was open by chance! The leather loafers are high quality and easily the most comfortable I’ve tried in Japan
Bought 2 items from this store. The items were very high quality and stylish and the owner is very nice and approachable. Slip on loafers are a game changer. It’s both comfortable and classy. He was also was very accommodating with the time. Booking time slots is recommended for store visits.
Wir haben morgens kurz angekündigt, dass wir kommen würden und konnten zu unserer gewünschten Zeit in den Laden. Der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich und konnte gut Englisch. Wir haben direkt 4 Paar gekauft und sind begeistert von der Qualität. Die Preise sind angemessen. Sehr empfehlenswert!
Great experience but make sure to message them to make an appointment, ideally a day before.Store is a bit out of the way but nearby if you're already visiting Tokyo Skytree or Sensō-ji.I walked in first since I was visiting Tokyo Skytree but the store was closed. I messaged their instagram account that afternoon and was able to make an appointment on the next day (Sunday).Sizes fit large so while I am normally as US size 12 I was able to fit comfortably in the 28cm version.Really unique shoes with tatami mat insoles. They encourage wearing these barefoot since the fabric is comfortable and absorbs odor. Recommended!
