We spent six great nights here as a family with two kids. The room was lovely, with tatami flooring throughout, with a nice shared ground floor.The location is excellent — close to the main sights, yet in local neighborhood.The owner, Kenichi is charming, full of great tips, and he even walked us around to show us a few things himself. A real plus for our stay.
We had a wonderful time staying for 5 nights here. We're a family of 3, 2 adults and a 7 year old. Kenichi is very helpful and also very polite and friendly to us.The neighborhood is very quiet and we also felt safe the whole time. It's also close to a lot of things, within walking distance. The first night we arrived, we were having a hard time finding quick dinner. Kenichi walked us and showed us around nearby grocery stores and ATM. He also walked us to Ueno station the next morning to help us get Suica card. We learned so much from him that otherwise tourists get so confused about. He gave us some recommendations as well and sent us some helpful links. On top of that, he spent some time with our daughter making origami while we were getting ready for the days. The place itself is very tidy and clean. We loved the experience staying at a ryokan.We were very grateful to find this place and was able to stay here in Tokyo. We will for sure be back the next time we come to Tokyo. Thank you Kenichi!
I had a fantastic stay at Tokyo Ryokan in Asakusa. The location is perfect—situated on a quiet street but still just a short walk from the metro and major attractions like Senso-ji Temple. It made exploring Tokyo incredibly convenient.The ryokan itself is charming and very clean, with traditional tatami floors and comfortable futon bedding that really give you an authentic Japanese experience. The atmosphere feels peaceful and home-like, a nice contrast to the busy city outside.What truly made the stay special was the hospitality of the host. He was incredibly kind and helpful, offering great recommendations for restaurants, transportation, and local spots that tourists might otherwise miss.If you’re looking for a cozy, authentic Japanese stay in Tokyo rather than a large hotel, I highly recommend Tokyo Ryokan. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit.
My dad and I had a wonderful stay at Tokyo Ryokan and will definitely come back when visiting Tokyo again.The location was perfect - along quiet backroads and within a short walk from the metro and transport links.The room and communal areas were comfortable and clean aswell.Kenichi was a lovely guy and great host, who went out of his way to help us with booking transport and recommending fun places to hang out. I'll definitely be back!

Excellent séjour d'une semaine grâce aux petites attentions de Kenichi qui nous a permis de profiter de Tokyo, découvrir de bons restaurants et se reposer dans ce quartier très calme et agréable. Tout est à proximité, cafés, métro, supermarchés, lavomatic et tres facile de se repérer. Tout était parfait, mille merci pour l'accueil et les bons conseils ! A bientôt, Pauline
