Oba-san made the experience of buying matcha and hojicha so lovely and nurturing. She was so sweet, and while English was limited, she was so hospitable and made effort to make our time there memorable. ♥️
I happened to stumble upon this place while searching for a different tea shop. And I am so glad I found this instead. Its run by a lovely old woman who was nice and helpful. She doesn't speak any english but with my super basic Japanese I was able to communicate with her. I got the hojicha leaves which she roasts herself. I tried the tea a few days back and tastes amazing. The quality is really good. She also has matcha. If you are in the area, do get tea from here. I highly recommend it.
Ich war in diesem süßen Laden und habe hier einen unglaublich leckeren Matcha aus Uji gekauft. Top Qualität! Die wunderbar nette ältere Verkäuferin war unglaublich süß und obwohl wir nicht die gleiche Sprache sprachen, haben wir uns wunderbar verstanden. Eine ganz herzliche und wunderschöne Japanerfahrung für mich.
Just walked around and found this little shop. Such a sweet and beautiful grandma. Offered me some tea and a seat. Definitely worth the walk in this heat! Lovely shop. Go and support her.
Dropped by to find some nice Japanese tea. It was a small shop closer to neighborhood. It’s quiet! The old lady was so nice and friendly, despite not knowing English, we communicated via actions and some Google translate. She even made some tea for us to try~ and we could smell the tea leaves too!
