We had a wonderful experience with Yuka and couldn’t recommend her more highly.From the very beginning, she was incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive, always making sure we were comfortable and adapting the day to our interests and needs. Her warm personality made us feel welcome at all times.The places she took us to were beautiful and very thoughtfully chosen. Several of them are locations that we would never have discovered on our own, and they gave us a much more authentic and special experience of the area than we would have had travelling independently.What stood out most, however, was Yuka herself. Her enthusiasm, local knowledge, flexibility, and genuine care made the day truly memorable.Thank you, Yuka, for being such a wonderful guide and for helping make our honeymoon even more special.
We absolutely loved having Yuka and Lewis as a tour guides!! We didn’t have to worry about planning an itinerary and allowed them to set the course for our day. We enjoyed every spot we visited and they even recommended a great lunch spot. Yuka and Lewis provided us with great historical information and even went above and beyond to answer the many questions our kids had. Definitely suitable for any age as our group ranged from age 8 to 69. The car ride was very comfortable and we loved the drive around the lake. We highly recommended booking Kawaguchiko Tours when visiting the Fuji area and having Yuka and Lewis as your private tour guides!! Thank you so much for a wonderful day!
I had an amazing experience with Johnny’s Fuji Kawaguchiko Tours and did the Signature Tour, which lasted about six hours. Communication at the time of booking and in the lead-up to the tour was excellent, (WhatsApp), which made everything very easy and smooth.My guide, Lewis, was fantastic. He took me to beautiful temples, shrines, and scenic spots all set against the backdrop of Mt. Fuji, including some really special vantage points that only someone who knows the area well would be able to find. What I appreciated most was his knowledge of each place we visited. I came away not only with incredible photos and memories, but also with a much deeper appreciation for the history, culture, and beauty of the Kawaguchiko area.I would highly recommend Johnny’s Fuji Kawaguchiko Tours to anyone visiting the area, especially if you want a thoughtful, well-organized, and memorable Mt. Fuji experience.
Our family had an amazing time visiting Kawaguchiko and surrounding areas for the first time. We have very limited time in the area but we’ve seen a lot of beautiful places in our short trip and will definitely come back in the future to see more. Thank you Johnny for organising our tour. Just got back from a Fuji tour and honestly it was such a great experience 🌿Our guide Lewis was super knowledgeable and took us to so many hidden spots that weren’t crowded at all. It felt like we got to see a completely different side of Mount Fuji, away from the usual tourist areas.We spent time exploring around Lake Kawaguchi and Lake Saiko, and the nature there was just beautiful and peaceful. Definitely one of those trips where you can really slow down and enjoy the scenery.Highly recommend this if you’re looking for a more unique, less touristy Fuji experience!
Amazing tour around the Fuji Kawaguchiko area and the signature spots to see. Fully recommend them. I never really post reviews generally but I had to after such great day.Yuka was our guide and she was brilliant. Fully customisable day depending on your priorities. Friendly, knowledgable, and easy to chat to throughout the day (6-7 hours). We had about an hour pit stop for lunch, but you can make it shorter or longer as you want.Even if Fuji won’t be fully on show, this is still a very fun tour and a great way to spend the day. Pick up and drop off where you want. I was in contact with them on WhatsApp from when I booked and they do a great job of customising your day.Don’t miss out!
My girlfriend and I absolutely loved the tour!We were worried about the visibility of Fuji, and it turned out the day that we booked was going to be cloudy. Since they had openings on another day that was clear in the forecast, Johnny kindly moved our tour date for us. We were so grateful for that because the view turned out to be clear as can be and stunning.Our guide Yuka was super friendly and fun to spend the day with. She is local to Fujikawaguchiko and showed us her passion for the rich history of the area with everything she shared. She had such a sweet and thoughtful surprise for us at the end of the tour, which I’ll leave a surprise (see other reviews if you’d really like to know).The spots we visited were wonderful, including some gems off the path of the usual large tour groups. You have the flexibility to choose spots you’d like to visit, or let your guide plan the day, or a mixture of both. Yuka also gave us some great lunch recommendations.Highest recommendation for anyone thinking of visiting Mt Fuji.

To really appreciate Fujikawaguchiko I highly recommend this tour company. Everything from our first contact with Johnny to having Yuka take us on 2 separate days was extremely smooth. We saw everything from waterfalls, wind caves, ice caves, ancient shrines, botanical garden, the famous Pagoda of course. Oishi village was my personal favorite. So much history and very well maintained. Learn about Fuji from a guide who was born, raised and resides here. They will tailor the day to your needs. On the last day we ended our tour by being dropped off at the train station so we can take the Shinkansen to our next destination. Look no further for a private guide. You and your family will be in good hands with Johnny.
