Affordable room not far from many tourist attractions like asakura, ueno, or Akihabara. Hotel owner-manager very friendly who will tell you all about the area you're heading to that day. Stay is comfortable and clean with clean communal showers/bath/restrooms. There was also access to communal refrigerator, microwave, and sitting room. I stayed in the smallest room for a solo travelers, which is quite small compared to hotels I'm used to, but certainly much more than a capsule. I don't think this value can be beat with this location, and the stay overall was memorable - after a week of staying here it felt like I was walking home from the station.You will absolutely remember this stay years later.
Juste parfait !!! Je suis prêt à parier les yeux fermés un membre de mon corps que c'est le meilleur hébergement en termes de rapport qualité prix et je pèse mes mots !, Tatsuo est aux petit soins avec ses voyageurs il met à disposition un enormissime éventail de services inclus dans le prix du logement qui vous feront passer votre meilleur séjour à Tokyo !! En plus il prend la peine chaque matin de vous conseiller des activités en fonction de votre journée prévue ! Pour ne pas parler de l'ensemble des dispositions qu'il a prit pour pour mettre à l'aise ses voyageurs comme le fait de ne faire occuper qu'une chambre sur deux afin de dissiper pour chaque viyageur les ronflements des autres ect ectLa propreté aussi est très très notable avec du ménage tous les jours, bref c'est juste parfait rien à reprocher !!!
We will remember this stay for a long time. Hospitality, location, good spirit and atmosphere of the ryokan and its owner. The host was friendly, helpful and caring. We felt safe, taken care of from the first day till our departure. Rooms were cozy, traditional and the space was very clean. It is one of the best places I've stayed in Japan. Thank you so much. I hope to be back there in the future.
absolutely enjoyed my stay here! got a room for one and it was small (as most hotels are in japan) but so absolutely cozy! it had an abundance of shelves to store your things, an area to set your open luggage, lots of outlets even a mini tv. i stayed here for a little over 2 weeks and there was never a bad day here and I slept comfortably. bathroom and showers were shared but there was never an issue with dirt and such. but despite with how much i enjoyed the facilities itself, i think the owner (as you’ve seen with other reviews) was the absolute highlight of staying. since i had quite a few vacant days, the owner was more than happy to share some locations with me that i haven’t seen on most social media sites which was a great bonus to my trip. he also never fails to greet me as i leave and return back! what surprised me the most though was how there was a pack of strawberries waiting in my room one day from him because it was its peak season there! i was so absolutely greatful. finally, he also helped me bring my luggage all the way to the bus station (or train if that’s your route back to the airport). i would absolutely recommend staying here especially with its price being on the lower side for amazing service and facilities!
We have been in a lot of places in Japan during our several weeks trip. This is, hands down, the best of them all. Everything is pristine, from the rooms themselves to the shared showers, and the owner is an incredible fount of knowledge about the city. And one of the kindest person we've met in Japan. Thank you so much, for everything.
While it was certainly different to the hotels I stayed at in Japan, this ryokan has been my favourite so far. The owner is the friendliest, most helpful person who bids you goodbye and greets you each day, provides amazing tips on exploring different parts of Tokyo (English is not an issue) and makes your stay very enjoyable. He even helped me take all of my luggage back to the train station when I checked out! The rooms, toilets and showers were pristine, and I slept very well each night.Although the walls are thin and you have to be quiet if you’re walking around late at night, I personally did not find noise to be an issue. This place is certainly value for your money and worth the experience - you can even wash and dry your clothes for free! I would love to stay here the next time I come to Tokyo.
Absolutely great experience. The host is nice and accommodating, gives you tips for sightseeing and other interesting places. His English is great so don't be afraid to ask questions. Only downside was the volume at night for me. Floor is old and walls thin, so you hear nearly every footstep or disturbance. But otherwise it is extremely recommended!

Home away from home. We stayed there twice and the level of hospitality and warmth we experienced is unmatched. We still go to Cafe Bach that was recommended by our host, whenever we are in this area. We are planning to move to Japan in a next 2 years, looking forward to pay a visit to our wonderful host.
