The shop owner was very kind, he gave us recommendations for the kind of flavour profile we were looking for. He let us sample teas on the spot and was very friendly and welcoming.
This store deserves more 5 star reviews!! I randomly stumbled across this store while walking to Hatoya. They have the friendliest store keeper that knows English very well, really knows his stuff and very good at selling matcha (somehow convinced me to buy a matcha out of my budget LOL) but he’s very honest about the quality and can definitely be trusted, even helped me take a photo outside of the store HAHA

This place was such a great experience. We ended up buying the top of the line Kuwabara Zensuke matcha and the second top Kuwabara Zensuke Kohata No Mukashi. Before that, the storekeeper Kevin-san (Morita-san) walked us through everything. He explained the brand, the type of leaf, the process, and even spoke English while letting me practice my Japanese. He really knew his stuff. He also let us try a quick tea ceremony with three different matchas from the least expensive up to the top ones we bought. The shop is in a quiet neighborhood with a nice local vibe, which made it even better. Overall, just a 10/10 experience and I’d definitely come back.

April 2026Found this place on Google Maps while staying in Asakusa. I bought these two matcha tins for my friend as a souvenir and they loved them! Would highly recommend visiting the store if in the area!
