Japan House 池袋の特徴
大きな部屋が魅力的で、価格は絶妙です。
駅から約600メートルの立地で、便利な周辺環境があります。
メールボックスからの簡単なチェックインがとても便利です。
The inner door is a bit short, almost hitting my head 😂
Confortable, convenient, spacious. I recommend it. The neighborhood is vibrating, the Ikebukuro station is well connected to many destinations in Tokyo and beyond.
At first we were worried about the place not having elevator and us having to carry the luggage up the stairs - the stars were indeed a bit too narrow, but not that big of a problem. The apartment had everything we needed, washing machine was particularly useful. At night though it was a little bit too cold, with some cold air passing through some cracks or windows - closing the ventilation holes didn't help much.Check in / out process was super easy, getting the key from a mailbox with a number lock. Just don't forget to put it back when leaving :)The neighborhood wasn't as great as the one in Asakusa, but we appreciated a convenience store few meters away and a very good coffee place 4 minutes by walking.
Amazing price for such a large room. HOWEVER there is no elevator, the stairs are one person wide, and a distinct grass poop smell (the kind of smell you smell goat poop or rabbit poop) near the first floor. 5th floor is tedious if you have luggage, but I can’t argue with the price given. Around 600 meters from the ikebukuro station.

周辺のオススメ
Sort of hard to find, we wandered around the area and then it turns out they have their logo(?) projected onto the wall tho it doesn’t say “Japan house” anywhere there. The only place u will find the name Japan house outside the door is on a little page with information stuck on next to where u can call in to apartments. It would be nice to add “Japan house” to the projection so it’s easier for guests to find.The staircase is really narrow(which makes carrying ur luggage very tedious) and it sort of smells like horsestable which is very unpleasant. I assume it’s from a lack of ventilation.The rooms however are just fine, no complaints there.There’s also a Lawson really close by, aswell as a decently sized supermarket.
