It was a nice place to stay, the place is close to the station and it was in a nice neighborhood. Though everytime we have to go to the Niopori station first before going to the big touristy area like shibuya, shinjuku, ikebukuro, etc. So maybe not the most strategic place to stay. But I enjoyed the stay and it was really nice :3
If you are looking at this place to rent as an air BnB as a foreign visitor, here are some things you will want to know that aren't included in the advertisement:It makes sense to have rules, especially in someone's house in a close quarters area with many other small houses. It does not make sense to send those rules the day before you enter the property, far after you have sent them your money, and with exceedingly expensive fines attached.Fail to properly sort the garbage to exact specifications? That is a $500 dollar fine. Too loud, even on a weekend? That is an $800 fine and a call to the police, from the owner, as he has installed a decimeter (noise level monitoring device) in the house. Thankfully, we were a small, quiet group that had no issues with these rules, and did not get into any kind of trouble, but it all just rubbed me the wrong way. There is a booklet of house rules and a Google document you will be sent. It is nearly 10 pages of rules, regulations, and restrictions. I have never seen such a thing in my life, and it almost seems like you are being set up for failure in order for the owner to charge you to make more money. It is a shame because this location is extremely clean and comfy, is right near several lovely local restaurants and a train station that will take you pretty quickly anywhere you want into Tokyo. I suppose I just wish that there was some extra transparency with all of these rules and fines before you accept renting the location.

Had to submit a review here instead as it’s past 14 days to leave a review on Airbnb. We had a wonderful stay! The house was clean and exactly as described. Check-in was smooth with the password door lock, and the host was incredibly responsive. We had a minor issue with the bidet, and it was resolved within just 10 minutes, which we really appreciated. The house is about a 7–10 minute walk from Horikirishobuen Station and directly opposite a FamilyMart, making it very convenient for grabbing snacks or essentials. It comes well-equipped with a washing machine, kitchen, Wi-Fi, and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The beds were comfortable by Japan standards, and having two showers and two separate toilets across both floors was a huge plus for our group. This Airbnb is especially great for families. There are four bedrooms, with one thoughtfully set up as a kids’ room filled with toys. We also loved the small balcony, which was a peaceful spot to relax and watch the neighbourhood go by.The only thing to note is the location. It’s around 30–40 minutes from the main city areas by metro, so it’s better suited for travellers who don’t mind commuting and prefer a quieter neighbourhood. The 7–10 minute walk from the station can also feel a little long after a full day of sightseeing, especially for families with young children.Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend this place to families or anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable home away from the busy city centre.
