This has been the greatest experience during my trip. I did not expect to learn so much during this Kendo class. Its not just physically rewarding, you get to learn the culture, its origin and its philosophical value in the spirit of kendo. Kendo is a martial arts that focuses on respect and civility at its core. Instructor Izawa-san and Osawa-san are both 7th dan masters - and just watching them spar will ignite the fire within you. The presentation is done in English and there are lots of pictures to understand. Please be patient with them as they use a translator tool to communicate difficult sentences. Its all worth it.
Highlight of our trip! We had so much fun and learned all about the Spirit of Kendo. Its a highly educational experience with hands on participation. Our teachers were very high ranking and made this an amazing cultural activity we will never forget.
I had a wonderful experience in this Kendo activity. The activity was lead by two 7-dan instructors which where kind, patient and loved what they were doing. Although this activity lasted 3 hours, the time passed really fast. Totally recommended.

这是我第一次体验日本的剑道，伊澤老师交的很认真。首先是用ppt和视频相结合来讲解了日本的剑道的基础知识，然后介绍了道具。然后慢慢的教导我们礼仪，拿剑方法，以及挥剑方法等。最后我们还带上了剑道护具进行了体验。完全从理论到实践给予了全方位的体验。因为我是可以说日语的，所以交流很顺畅，但是不用担心，老师们的英文也是很好的，完全可以无障碍的沟通和交流。通过这次的体验，我准备开始正式学习剑道。非常感谢两位老师的教导。大家都可以来体验一下日本的剑道文化。
