Makoto san and Naomi san are incredibly warm people with big hearts. So grateful to have the opportunity to spend time in the guest house.Makoto san organises various activities throughout the month, from hiking, cooking, Osaka Expo, mochi pounding to Japanese lessons. The house is located in a beautiful residential neighborhood, it’s homey, quiet and cozy. You can access the surrounding regions easily via the bikes offered at the guesthouse. The station is ~15min away, with easy access to central Osaka. It’s a great location if you want to have a taste of the local life, away from the hustle and bustle. The small town of Higashiosaka is beautiful with everything life related in easy access (e.g. supermarkets, sauna, restaurants).I’d love to return ❣️❣️!!P.S. Naomi san’s baking is amazing, don’t miss the food activities 😉
Sehr empfehlenswert
what is there not to LOVE about this house!! makoto is absolutely lovely host who wants you to have a good time whilst making sure you understand how everything works around the house and gives you a map of the local area with restaurants and shops.he speak relatively good english and he's just easy to engage with, so joyful and warm person. unfortunately I didn't get a chance to meet his wife but I've heard she's very lovely too 😊the location is good if you're looking for something quiet but good access to different areas; central osaka is very easy to get into and nara is "right around your doorstep" so to speak. also heard that people have visited kyoto, it is a bit longer journey but worthwhile if you wish to stay in one place and explore the kansai region, I would HIGHLY recommend come in here.for bonus, lots of people love this place and come from around the world so you really get to know many amazing people on your stay. I most certainly will return here as soon as I travel to japan once again!ありがとうございます。
Tldr: very good host, very good place if you want to experience a traditionnel japanese house. We stayed 9 nights in makoto's guesthouse, and it was a pleasure. He drew us a map of the surroundings, which was very practical to find food and other things. There are always other people in his guesthouse, coming from all over the world, so if you like exchanging with other travelers, it's a very good place. It's right in the middle between Ōsaka and Nara, so good place if you want to visit those cities.Makoto was always there when needed. For example he helped us by calling a japanese customer service about our next hotel reservation.Thank you for everything, Makoto-san !Alex and Damien.
This is hands down the BEST place Ive stayed while in Japan. Host picked me up from the station and also dropped me back off when my stay was over. The host also had tons of helpful advice. A hand drawn map of the area was provided upon arrival along with some interesting information about the area. The accomidations were extremely clean and the property was very peaceful. The area is quiet and a welcome break from the city, while also being a very easy commute to downtown Osaka. Nara and Kyoto are also quite easily accessible from this location. I will 100% be coming back here when I visit Osaka again.
