根本海水浴場の特徴
透明度の高い海水浴場で、夏だけでなく冬の海も楽しめます。
スライムの頭のような形の海岸で、海水浴や砂遊びが満喫できます。
キャンプ場には炊事場やトイレ、更衣室も備わっており便利です。
伊豆大島をはじめとする伊豆七島を一望できる透明な海と、貝殻を砕いた砂浜が広がる 、スケールの大きな海水浴場です。南房総の海岸の中でも、海岸が南を向いているためか、周辺の海岸と比べても透明度が特に高く感じられます。砂の質も細かく、石が混じっているようなゴツゴツ感はなく、裸足で歩いても快適です。砂浜の汀線は約600m、砂浜幅は約70mと広々としており、海遊びがメインの方は砂浜にミニテントを設営して拠点とし、のびのびと過ごしている方も多く見られます。遠浅の入り江になっているので、小さなお子様連れのファミリーでも安心して遊べます。最大の特徴のひとつが、根本マリンキャンプ場と併設されていること。デイキャンプやバーベキュー（有料）も楽しめるため、日帰りでも1日中遊び尽くせます。シャワーも3ヶ所設備されており（一部有料)、海上がりも快適です。駐車場は乗用車約400台収容で、海水浴利用は1,000円。開設期間は7月中旬〜8月下旬です。電車・バスでのアクセスは、JR内房線館山駅から安房白浜行きバスで約24分、「根本海岸」バス停下車後徒歩約5分 です。ただし、南房総市の中では波がやや強い部類に入るため、小さなお子様を連れていく際は波の状況を確認しながら遊ぶことをおすすめします。開設期間中は監視員が常駐しているので安心ですが、その期間外の遊泳はご遠慮ください。広い砂浜、澄んだ海、目の前に広がる伊豆七島の景観——都会の喧騒を忘れてリフレッシュしたい方に、心からおすすめできる場所です。Nemoto Beach is one of the most spacious and visually dramatic beaches in the Minami-Boso area of Chiba Prefecture. The beach offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the Izu Islands, including Oshima, across crystal-clear water and a shoreline of crushed-shell sand.Because the beach faces south, the water here tends to feel especially clear compared to other beaches in the Minami-Boso and Tateyama area. The sand is fine and comfortable underfoot — no rocky patches or coarse gravel. The beach spans approximately 600 meters of shoreline and 70 meters of sand width, giving it a wide, open feel that never seems crowded even on a busy summer day.The gentle, shallow inlet is perfect for families with young children, and lifeguards are on duty throughout the designated swimming season (roughly late July to late August). Visitors who aren't using the campsite often set up small beach tents on the sand to use as a home base, making the most of the expansive space.One of the biggest draws is that Nemoto Marine Campsite is located right alongside the beach, where day camping and barbecues are also available for a fee. This means you can combine a swim with an outdoor meal and a relaxed afternoon all in one place — a rare combination. Three shower stations are also available on-siteA car park accommodating around 400 vehicles is available at a fee of ¥1,000 for beach users. By public transport, take the Awa-Shirahama bus from JR Tateyama Station and get off at the "Nemoto Kaigan" stop, then walk about 5 minutes.One thing to be aware of: compared to other beaches in the Minami-Boso area, the waves here can be a little stronger, so keep an eye on conditions if you're with small children. Outside of the official season, there are no lifeguards on duty and swimming is not recommended.If you're looking for a wide-open beach with stunning island views, the option to camp or barbecue, and genuinely clear water — Nemoto Beach delivers on all fronts.
波音を聴きながら息子と１日ビーチコーミング｡貝殻以外にも流木や遠くから流れ着いたであろう種子を拾いました｡
8月のお盆に日帰り海水浴で利用しました。駐車場は¥1,000、テント・タープの持ち込みは¥500かかりましたが、無料でシャワー(水)と更衣室が利用でき、キャンプ場だけでなく海水浴場でもバーベキュー可など、サービスがよく利用者のマナーも悪くないと感じました。満潮の時間帯は磯エリアが遊泳禁止ですが、潮が引くと蟹やヤドカリの観察もでき、子供の遊び場としてもとても良かったです。
富浦インターから30分ほどかかりますが透明度が高く、シーズン中でも平日は空いていて穴場的ビーチです！波のある方とシュノーケリングに適している穏やかな方と2箇所に別れているので楽しいです！
キャンプ場がある静かな砂浜です。ただ、駐車場は公衆トイレに3.4台鹿停められず、あとはスペースのある路肩しかない。またトイレから海までは150m位歩く必要があります。ただ透明度は高く磯遊びができるのでとても良い海水浴場だ思います。
透明度の高い海水浴場です。波もなく監視員もいて安心して遊べます。駐車場１０００円。無料シャワー、トイレ、更衣室もあります。１０００円払うだけの価値あります。
砂浜が有り磯場が有り海水浴にはとても良い場所だと思います。水の透明度も有りとても綺麗です。おすすめ度⭐️5です。
スライムの頭みたいな形の海岸です。台風の影響もあり大量の昆布が打ち上げられてました。波も適度な弱めで子供も安心して遊ばせられる場所です。所々石があって足をぶつけると痛い場所が数箇所ありました。真ん中の岩場には澄んだ水があり、小さな魚や貝などが取れるので、みんな網を持って探していました。駐車料金→海水浴500円バーベキュー1000円〜海岸近くまで車を入れられて、入り口にはシャワー＆トイレあり。バーベキュー用の水場やゴミ捨て場もあります。眺めは最高に綺麗です。泊まりで過ごしてみるのもおすすめです。

周辺のオススメ
曇り空だったのでエメラルドブルーの海は感じられず。生き物がたくさんいて楽しく過ごせましたが、わざわざ時間をかけて行かなくてもいいかなという感想。
