The staff here are extremely welcoming and kind. The mangaka (Japanese comic artist), Ryo Katagiri, who teaches the manga class has had her manga published and serialized. I was glad to see her published work, along with some of the original pieces she sketched.Learning from someone who has been in the industry and has the work to show for it, rather than being able to draw manga very well, was truly great. You would have to look up her Japanese name to see her work, but the one example would be here ジャンシー manga.Anyways, based on my first visit to the manga class, I thought it was really well.
