I can’t explain how much I loved my experience here and cannot wait to gift these knives. I got one for my father (the hunting knife I had engraved) and one forMyself and my soon to be ex-father in law, as my wife is divorcing me. But he’s been an incredible human and I have developed a fun emphasis on cooking and knives on him. He deserves more than just this knife. Either way. The staff were all incredible and I couldn’t recommend the product and assistance any more.
Superb knife shop!We checked out 5 shops at the fish market to get a view of what was available, and then we went here to buy everything we needed. Prices and quality are really good, but you do not get any tax free papers here. Still worth it though, since you save more through the lower prices.

Had a great experience in this little shop. The owner was very kind and helpful in assisting me with the selection process for a chefs knife. I got a beautiful knife and he even sharpened it again for me before wrapping it up. I would strongly recommend this place!

Cute little shop on the ninth floor in what seems to be an apartment building. Surprisingly great selection of knifes and the owner was very nice and helpful.
3代目の店主の佇まい、接客、仕事ぶり全てが完璧。思わず三徳包丁を購入。マンションの一室なので入店に勇気がいるけど。チムどんどんでもここの包丁使われていたそうです。
素晴らしい菊秀ナイフ！ 2018年9月にカナダから日本を訪問し、日本のナイフを購入することにしました。大阪、京都、東京の多くの店舗を訪れた後、この店舗から購入することにしました。私たちはほとんどの観光客のようにダマスカススタイルのナイフに特に興味を持っていました、そしてこれらの特定のナイフはただ素晴らしいです！日本の包丁の特徴は、細くて丈夫なことです。だから、これはあなたが得るものです：ほとんど何でも楽に切ることができるかみそりの鋭いナイフ。先輩紳士はとても親切で親切でした。ナイフと同じくらい素晴らしい砥石も購入しました。また日本に来たらまた来店します。銀座の歌舞伎劇場に近く、2階にあります。（原文）Amazing Kikuhide knifes! We visited Japan from Canada in 2018 September and decided to buy Japanese knifes. After visiting many stores in Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo, we decided to buy from this store. We were particularly interested in Damascus style knifes like most tourists and these particular knifes are just amazing! The thing about Japanese knifes is that they are thin and very strong as well. So this is what you get: razor sharp knifes with effortless cutting of almost anything. The senior gentleman was very nice and helpful. We also bought the sharpening stone, which is as wonderful as the knifes. If we visit Japan again, we will visit the store again. This store is close to Kabuki Theater in Ginza and it is upstairs.

Lovely shop. Wish I took some photos but other reviews do a good job of highlighting it. It's certainly a vibe going into an apartment building, up to the 9th floor and then pressing a buzzer to be allowed in. Never felt unwelcome while I was there though and left with a beautiful knife and a pair of scissors.Definitely recommend if you are after a nicely crafted knife while avoiding the chaos of all the shopping areas.
