My family and I made our way to Okutsu Shrine during our visit to Okushiri, and it turned out to be one of those quiet, meaningful stops that stay with you long after the trip.Located a bit of a walk from the ferry terminal, getting there felt like part of the experience. The route was peaceful, with very little foot traffic, and it gave us time to slowly take in the island’s laid-back atmosphere. By the time we arrived, the shrine felt even more special because of that small effort.The shrine itself is simple but well cared for, surrounded by a calm and almost meditative environment. There is a sense of stillness that makes you naturally lower your voice and just take everything in. It may not be as grand as larger shrines in Hokkaido, but its quiet charm and sincerity give it a different kind of beauty.One of the highlights of our visit was being able to receive a goshuin. It added a personal and memorable touch to the experience, especially since shrines in more remote places like Okushiri feel more intimate.
2025.5.1参拝日帰り弾丸巡りで参りました。宮司さんは不在でしたので、御朱印を諦めようかと思っていたら本殿内に書置きの御朱印がありました。駐車場は無さそうです。
現在御朱印はここしかないようです。フェリーはコロナの影響で1日1往復の運行になっています。島外からの日帰りは出来ません。飛行機であれば可能ですが到着から出発まで30分しかありませんので何処にも行けません。
