We're visitng Takeo Onsen and we took a bus to Ureshino to this store. My son was looking for woodworking tools, planner and chisels. And we wanted to check out the knives the granpa makes.They have display cabinets of knives but they were all made to otder by customers. There was nothing ready made left. The senior blacksmith wasn't feeling to well according to his granddaughter, and he won't be able to deliver any orders too soon.We managed to get a pen knife, the workmanship is remarkable. They were very kind and patient with our lack of Japanese.My son found 3 chisels he wanted. We're happy to get on our way back.Then we walked on and found an amazing Unagiya! It was heaven. I'll be writing a splendid review for them too.
店主さんがとても良い方です。こちらで作られている包丁はオーダー待ちしないといけませんが、とてもいい作りです。
待ちに待って、やっとパン切り包丁を手に入れ早速の朝食。普段は早起きして朝食の準備を手伝う事はないんだけど、切れ味を試したくて…今まで使ってたパン切り包丁と使い比べてみてパン屑が出ない理由が分かりました。恐ろしくよく切れます。断面も滑らかで焼いても、そのままでも切り分けたパンの口当たりがとても良いです。ご主人の体調も注文した時には心配しましたが、これからもお元気に、沢山の方々へこの切れ味の良さを分けてあげて下さい。本当に素晴らしい切れ味のパン切り包丁です。ありがとうございました。
今日、パン切りナイフを注文してきました。5年待ちだそうです。ご主人の体調を配慮されながら作っているそうです。健康に留意されながら頑張ってもらいたいです。出来上がりを楽しみにしています。
