There is a reason Miu Kimono has so many five star reviews, this was a fantastic experience! I booked rentals for my husband and brother along with mine. I opted for the Furisode experience along with hair and makeup. We also paid for an outdoor photoshoot.The Furisode options are plentiful and can be viewed on their site, so it helps if you can look at them in advance and have an idea before you get there of which one you want to select. If you are indecisive like me however, never fear, you can view them on a much larger screen in their shop and make a call then. The men in my group had colors to choose from, though I suspect there were less options for them than me. Not a bad thing obviously as neither of them complained about the options they were presented with.The dressing experience was fascinating and meticulous. I have never done anything like this before, so it was really interesting to see how intricate the process is. All in all with hair and makeup the total experience lasted probably around 45 minutes. The boys started after me and ended before me, so they probably only took about 20 minutes to dress.The photo session was fun and extensive. We were fortunate enough to have beautiful weather the day we did this, which made everything more pleasant. After the session was done we spent about an hour or more just exploring the area in our kimonos. I would have worn them all day, but we unfortunately had other things to do that would take us too far from Miu's location, and we didn't have time to return them the next day (which is an option for a slight up charge).This was an amazing bucket list experience, and I am so glad that I decided to book with Miu Kimono! There are plenty of kimono rental options out there, but I urge you to look here first. I certainly won't consider going anywhere else if i ever get an opportunity to go back to Tokyo again.
We had such a fantastic experience with Miu. The store has a beautiful selection and I really appreciated her experience and input. Her English is fantastic and as an Aussie we loved the banter. Photography session was just the right amount of time (40 min approx) for us to then go and explore Asakusa in our kimono. 10/10 recommend to immerse yourself in Japanese culture and have a great experience here.
Bester Kimono Verleih der Stadt :) hier steckt Liebe im Detail und jeder sollte so eine wunderschöne Erfahrung machen! Von Anfang bis Ende wird man hier liebevoll betreut und beraten. Und gegen einen Aufpreis bekommt man wenn gewünscht noch ein Fotoshooting.Hab mich sehr wohl gefühlt und würde es wiederholen!
We rented a kimono for my wife. The owners and staff were very attentive, kind, and helpful. We were very pleased with everything. I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

Miu and her team are professional, genuinely kind and passionate about kimonos and culture.Getting dressed was an experience and so memorable. Everything was handled with grace and expertise, making sure we are comfortable and our kimonos are fitted properly.
很喜歡這一次的和服體驗！感受到老闆娘的熱情，以及穿著和服的熱忱，當然頭髮也幫我編的美美的。我完全素顏就去了XD化妝師畫的日式妝容及眉毛我超愛!最後老闆娘老闆帶我們到淺草寺外拍，很認真的指導我們動作，怎麼才會拍得好看，真的感受到他們對工作的熱情❤️中文/日文/英文/馬來文都可以溝通，超棒的👍🏻👍🏻不用擔心溝通的問題收到照片我真的很喜歡😘，下次去東京一定要再找他們😙

一對一的服務方式，不用擔心防疫問題，闆娘會說英文，中文，日文，超級可以溝通的！和服也不同於一般給觀光客穿的⋯店家很注重和服的傳統美感，即使是素素的花色也看得出來暗紋跟質感，相信這也是日本人會光臨的店家！離淺草寺也很近，價格合理，還有免費的披肩及手套配件、面具可以借來拍照！大推～～

The service was excellent. The owner speaks multiple languages, listens carefully to your preferences, and does her best to help you choose the right outfit. She also takes you to charming photo spots and helps take pictures, making the entire experience enjoyable and memorable.We really enjoyed wearing traditional outfits and experiencing them in an authentic way. The shop was clean and well organized, with a wide selection of outfits to choose from. The clothing was fresh, clean, and smelled pleasant, which made the experience even better.The only aspect I liked less was the makeup. In hindsight, I would have preferred to do my own makeup. Other than that, it was a wonderful experience that I would recommend.
