2 Stars cause it’s a public toilet that’s open 24/7. Anyone that is in the park can watch me urinate and vice versa. If you are with your girlfriend, you can talk to them as both the bathrooms are connected. As Google Map says, truly, a once in a lifetime experience.

It would not be an exaggeration to say that this toilet changed my life for the better. It was a cold spring day and I arrived with my mate in the beautiful city of Fukuoka. I had previously drunk around 1l of unsweetened green tea, which had now filled my bladder. It was then I spotted this toilet. Upon visually assessing the outside and finding it more than sufficient (indeed, very easy easy on the eyes even, with the outside plumbing, tasteful gray walls and surrounding greenery) I went inside and was met with the Platonic ideal of toilet smell. This excited my bladder. I headed to the toilet stall, but not before noticing the beautifully minimalistic design of the interior. The inside is designed in such a way as to allow people on the outside a look on the people emptying their "hoses" in the pissoir. This is a brave choice and a testament to the artistic prowess that went into the creation of this toilet. It is oddly freeing to urinate while being potentially watched by bystanders. I reckon this is meant as a metaphor for a surveillance state (and a critique thereof). In any case, I headed inside a toilet stall and was met by a beautifully designed toilet. Really, no notes. You just gotta see it yourself. No heating, no water stream, non of that superfluous stuff. Just a simple, magnificent toilet, with a flushing sound both supple and moist. The 0,5 layer toilet paper is just the piece de resistance.Truly, a once in a lifetime experience. I urge every visitor to Fukuoka to check out this "Public Toilet". It does not cost you anything, and may very well change your life, like it did for me.
