Japan Housing helped us find a nice, convenient apartment in a short time. Gong-san was wonderful and showed us several great options, so we had a tough time deciding where to live! She also had a good understanding of things foreigners might not know about Japanese apartments and pointed them out for us (buy your own light fixtures for the apartment, rules about garbage, etc). She and Nemoto-san even helped us when we had a problem with moving in on our first day!Once we met the Japan Housing staff, they were very kind, but the communication before looking at apartments could be improved. It would be good to ask first what we want in an apartment and then explain how the process will work (we will send you places over Chat, you choose what you want to see, we will set up the showing, etc). Without this, we felt confused about what information we should give since we were not asked first and just started getting apartment layouts from the team. We also hope the team will communicate more about information they need on their side to avoid stress or misunderstandings. We got worried about a lack of information before the apartment showing after a few times of reaching out and messaged how concerned we were. The team responded right away to fix it, which was great, but letting us know what was happening in advance would have saved us a lot of worry.Overall, we are thankful for the Japan Housing team helping us find our apartment successfully in a short time, but would recommend communicating proactively to work with them best.

Japan Real Estate was very professional and welcoming while helping my husband and I find our apartment.
