神楽殿(椙森神社)の特徴
べったら市の日には、神楽殿が賑やかに混雑します。
日本橋七福神の恵比寿神が奉られ、信仰の場です。
夜間は閉まっていますが、神社の雰囲気を楽しめます。
流石に古い神社なので、鳥居、社殿、水盤舎だけでなく、神楽殿まで建てられています。建物は、鉄骨が入ったコンクリート造ですが、神楽殿も含めて伝統的な神社様式の建物です。明暦の火事を始め、数々の火災や災害を乗り越えた神社ならではと感じました。とっても趣があります。
べったら市の夜、中に入るづらいぐらい混んでいました。
夜はしまっておりますが雰囲気があります。
A truly special Tokyo gem I have personally been visiting for over 15 years. What it lacks in size, it makes up for in 3 important ways:1) It sits curiously nestled amongst Nihonbashi's taller buildings beautifully showcasing traditional alongside modern if you want to see something truly "Tokyo"2) It has the BEST matsuri (festival) in Autumn! Surprisingly large too, stretching down many of the small local backroads with tons of local food and events, and live kabuki and music on the beautiful tiny stage within the little shrine! A truly local but welcoming event3) If you are just passing by, you get all the things a bigger shrine has, but in a tiny neat package. Often someone will be around the site too, if you feel up to asking questions.Truly a wonderful place. I almost feel like I should keep it to myself ;)
A delightful little shrine that we stumbled upon whilst out for a morning walk.
