Came here for a weekend outing in kimono, and this place stole my heart 💔 You can really feel how the Japanese lived in the past here. Despite that, all amenities are present, and Jiro-san makes everyone feel very welcome and comfortable. Thank you!!!
I had the best time staying here and would highly recommend it for groups of friends or families. It’s a large space with lots of traditional Japanese home elements like tatami mats, traditional Japanese furniture,and decorated with Japanese art. There’s a karaoke room on the top floor, a big beautiful stone tub, a balcony with table and chairs and a stunning view of the city and Sagami Bay, and many high-quality amenities like Muji brand skincare, body soap, and shampoo.I also noticed that Jiro-san put safety latches on some of the drawers in the kitchen, a child safety gate that you can use for the staircase, a sensor that tells you when the tub is full, and a few other things that show that he really put thought into how to make your stay more safe and comfortable .There’s a large kitchen and fridge outfitted with everything you need to cook for yourself.It was also very clean and has air conditioners in most rooms so it is cool and comfortable even in the humid Japanese summers.I came with a group of friends and we brought kimono/yukata to wear to the local pride festival and the large tatami rooms and mirrors made it easy for all of us to get prepared together.
Tucked into a fold of the hillside above Old Itoh, floats Ukiyoe House. Constructed for a once famous geisha by an adoring and generous fan. With a hawk's eye view of the sea from Hatsushima on the left to Teishi rock on the right, it's a step back into retro Japan. The proprietor, Jiro, greets you at the entrance, attends to the evening bedding and ensures that your stay is comfortable and relaxing. Stretch your legs as far as the crooked lanes of the old town past the shops of a once must-visit seaside village of fishermen and spas. Not to mention historical sites and a quiet black sand beach.
The house is huge, absolutely beautiful, very tastefully furnished and offers everything you need for a nice and relaxing holiday. It was by far the best accommodation we had on our holiday in Japan and does not need to shy away from comparison with many 5-star hotels. And Jiro, the owner is a wonderful host!

先日、音楽仲間4名で浮世絵ハウス伊東さんに宿泊させていただきました。それぞれギターやウクレレを持参し、防音のライブスペースで思いきり演奏＆セッションを楽しむことができました。普段は自宅で遠慮しながら音を出しているので、思い切り音楽に集中できるこの環境は本当にありがたく、日頃のストレスも吹き飛びました！何より室内のインテリアがとてもセンスよく、居心地の良さにも感動。伊豆石の立派なお風呂も贅沢で癒されました。窓からは伊東の海が一望でき、朝日に包まれるひとときも最高でした。オーナーさんのさりげない気配りや心遣いにも感激。音楽好きにも癒しを求める方にも、本当におすすめの宿です。ありがとうございました！
