2023年1月2日。「琉球国由来記」によると金武間切金武村トゥムスズイベ神名シマネドミ、金武ノロ祟所と記された御嶽である。村建の火神として御嶽を中心に周辺には根神やノロ殿内などが築かれていることから村落形成の基礎をなした地域、国元と推定されている。見るからに御神木であろうガジュマルは何やらタスキをかけているようにも見える。そう言えば今日は箱根駅伝やってるなと頭の隅でチラリと思ったのであったw

An Utaki is a sacred site, where locals may make offerings and pray for the health and welfare of family members, as well as, abundant fishing and farming rewards. This sacred grove has been in existence for centuries, dating back to the Ryukyu Dynasty (18th Century) days. It is a quiet spot with stone steps winding uphill through dense forest. Be cautious walking, as the stones may be wet and slippery. Early in the day, it's wise to carry a stick, for removing cobwebs in front of you, as you navigate the narrow trails. It is not wheelchair accessible and, strollers would be a bit of a challenge for those bringing along toddlers. No vending machines or toilet facilities exist within the forest but, minutes away (walking) you can find facilities.
