初めて子どもが英検を受ける前に利用しようと入ったら、まさに人種差別されて入店拒否されました。来日十数年に初めてこんな露骨な遭遇があったです。びっくりしました。Was in the neighborhood with kid before taking the Eiken test, looking for a cafe to rest. The owner asked where was I from and refused us based on nationality. I had lived in Kyoto for 10+ years and it was the first time I had encountered blatant racial discrimination, nonetheless in front of my kid. Really unbelievable and sad.Unfortunately, there was no other cafe around. So we bought something from the supermarket and ate in our car. I didn’t expect the neighborhood to be so bleak. It was an unknown part of Kyoto to me.
コーヒー（ラテ）とシナモントーストを持っていた！トーストは素晴らしかった。大きく、完璧にトーストされ、本当に美味しいです。安い！コーヒーは美味しくて、スタイリッシュでかわいいカップで出されましたが、実際、ここ京都の方がおいしかったです。オーナーは本当に甘かった！ ^^（原文）Had a coffee (latte) and a cinnamon toast! The toast was great; big, perfectly toasted and really tasty. Cheap too! Coffee was good and was served in a stylish, cute cup but I have actually tasted better here in Kyoto. The owner was really sweet! ^^
