This shoe shop is pure class. Proper shoes and a proper owner, Masaki, who gives a great service for casual and formal attire. Get yourselves down there for affordable and quality shoes.
My partner and I stumbled across this beautiful family-run shoe shop - the oldest in Kyoto. The current owner, Masaki, is an incredibly friendly gentleman and was very helpful in helping us. Definitely check this place out - affordable prices, comfy shoes and incredible service…you won’t be disappointed!
靴が欲しいなと思って近くを歩いていて立ち寄ったお店でした。京都でも老舗の靴屋さんで、とても人柄の良い気さくな店主のおじいちゃんに色々おすすめしてもらいました。また近くに行ったら寄ってみたいです。
Lovely shoe shop at affordable prices. The owner was very kind to help as much as possible to find me the right shoe. I spent what would be the equivalent of £21 for some light weight and comfortable walking shoes. The owner is the 3rd generation in his family to work there since 1906. He was kind enough to give me some insoles without charge after insisting to help him with his business. He was insistent not to!Found across the river from Shichijo station on the main road.Highly recommend and help keep little shops open like this. Arigatou Gozaimasu!
お店の方はとても愛想が良く優しいおじさんで、サービス精神が旺盛。色々なデザイン、サイズの靴試し履きさせていただき、最後更に値引きしてくれて大変満足でした。良質の革靴を市場相場の半額以下で買えました。
激安店じゃないけど。安くいいものがある。お店の人も色々アドバイスしてくれます。
¥3000からでコスパが超良くて品質も良い男性用も女性用も置いてあります三代目のおじいさんがやってて、1906年からの靴屋じゃ京都一の老舗店らしいです。ちなみに写真の筆者が買ったのは¥5000（黒い紐靴の長いやつ）
ええ靴あるけど、修理も、請け負ってほしい！店主は、商売上手！

Accidentally stepped on my friend‘s shoe as we were getting onto public transportation, and it fell onto the train tracks. The owner of this 3-generation old shoe store was extremely helpful and got us get a new pair of shoes right away so we could continue exploring Kyoto. Highly recommend supporting this mans small family business! Great selection and amazing service!
