I see foreigners glance and pass by while looking for matcha in tourist trap stores up ahead. It looks very small and unassuming but they have a large storage room for all the teas behind the counter. Oh you must use Google translate to communicate and check the list of teas. This is truly the authentic Japanese loose tea shop that the locals shop at. Their selections vary from regular cheap prices to the highest mind boggling variants that I've never heard of. It you are visiting Kyoto this shop is a must visit and get 2-3 high end teas.
Unknown to foreigners but this is the REAL high end loose leaves tea seller in Kyoto. They only sell tea not teaware. Locals come all the time and special order certain unique teas. They have selections with prices from cheapest to even super exotic fernented types. This is the hidden gem of Kyoto tea scene. Oh matcha is still rationed to 40gr a person a day but they have about 7 different selections just for matcha alone. Gyokuro selection is mindboggling too. Must visit!
So amazing is the tea, that it opened a completely new journey into Japanese culture for me! Definitely recommend!
現金で支払う事しか出来ません手持ちがなくて、3点購入しましたが…カード決済が出来たら良いのにと思いますネット注文も出来ず、店舗を探して来ました商品であるお茶はとても美味しいので､次回は電話注文できると伺ったので利用する事にします。

自宅でお抹茶を点てて飲むのが三時の習慣です。一保堂、柳桜園、祇園辻利とさまざまな茶舗の抹茶をいただきましたが、こちらのコスパの良さに感激しました。お店は飾り気なく昔ながらの構えで、ご主人も丁寧に説明してくださいます。空き缶を持参すれば詰めてもらえるフレンドリーさです。
胡麻油を買って帰りました。香りが全く違います。
