滝の千年ツバキの特徴
小さな水車やアウトドアイベント施設があり、地域交流の場になっています。
銀色の屋根の博物館から始まる散策路は、訪れる楽しみを提供してくれます。
滝の千年ツバキは、600年以上の歴史を持つ椿の名木が魅力的です。
たどり着けなかった。
街路樹の椿は満開でしたが、こちらは満開がまだなのか花付きが多くないのか、少なかったです。木が高いので花がよく見えないです。
Nice walk in the forest. There are tiny forest crabs!!! Tree is beautiful. Road is old, narrow, and very little signage. Enjoyed this as a quick side trip :)

滝かと思ったら違かった。でも静かでいいところ。一応トイレもある。無料の休憩所もあった。水車もあり、子供がよろこんでいた。ごみ箱もある。できるだけ袋にいれるとか、もちかえるようにはしたい。
Giant natural camellia with dark red flowers. The Taki Thousand-year Camellia is hidden up the road (through a gate that you open and close yourself) from the museum (with a silver roof shaped like a camellia flower). At the end of this winding road you will arrive at the parking lot, where there is a small building with a charming watermill and an al fresco style building that looks to be used for community events. Follow the main path or wind along a path on the left side called "camellia road" until you reach the Thousand-year Camellia. I have been here in December and March and it was in bloom both times, though because it is an old growth variety of camellia, every year isn't a peak-bloom year. There are plenty of other camellia planted in the area to get up close photos. I stopped by the museum where the person worker explained that no one is sure how old the tree is, but an expert came from Kyoto who said that it was between 600 and 1200 years old. 1,000 has a nice ring to it.

周辺のオススメ
車の方は写真に有る門を空け、中に入り門を閉めてから離合出来ない細い道を進み4〜5分で駐車場に到着します。ツバキはそこより歩いて6分程で見えてきますよ。
