I went to several JR offices, including a green window one, to buy a JR West Pass. It was not available there! They eventually sent me here, actually a travel agent. A sign on the door said that it's for foreigners visiting Japan. There was no long wait. Not only did they sell me the pass but also made a reservation for me as well. I returned the next day to make a reservation for the train to the airport. The same person sent me to the JR green window just opposite, where I had to wait for about 20'. This is curious, since she made a reservation the day before. I suspect she didn't do it because they didn't make any money with the reservation.

I went there on a morning at about 10am and I didn't have to wait. Employees took there time for me, were very patiently, super friendly and spoke both great English. I came here to exchange my online voucher for Kansai Wide Excursion Pass and it worked all perfectly.

私の夫と私は、5月15日に京都と祇園地区のツアーのために、午後には、エイピーと呼ばれるニポンの旅行代理店のガイド（別名は違うかもしれませんが）を持っています。このガイドはあらゆる点で例外的でした。彼女は、私たちが見ていた場所に自分の経験や印象を加えて、私たちが訪れた場所について知っていて、気持ち良く楽しいものでした。私たちは親友と午後を過ごしていたような気分でした。ツアーの最後に祇園演劇に行こうと決心したとき、彼女は私たちと一緒に行こうとしていました。私たちがチケットを購入するのを手伝ってくれました。劇場の中に来て、良い座席があることを確認して、私たちは見なければならなかった。さよならを言うのはとても残念です。この専門的で個人的な品質のガイドを見つけるのはまれです。エイミーは彼女の優れた仕事に感謝と報酬を受けるに値する。彼女は京都の経験を忘れられないものにしました。カンデラスガラとポールエスコート。（原文）My husband and I had the fortune to have a Nipon travel agency guide called Amy (although the spelling may be different) on May 15 in the afternoon for a tour of Kyoto and the Gion district. This guide was exceptional in all respects. She was knowledgeable about the places we visited, personable, by adding her own experience and impressions to the places we were seeing, and totally pleasant and fun. We felt like we were spending an afternoon with a dear friend. When at the end of the tour we decided to go to the Gion theater for a performance, she stayed on line with us, helped us buy the tickets, came inside the theater to make sure we had good seats and gave us a summary of what we were to see. We were very sorry to say goodbye. It is rare to find guides of this professional and personal quality. Amy deserves all the recognition and compensation deserving of her excellent work.
