Growing up a huge music nerd I’ve always had a love for collecting physical copies of music whether it be cds, vinyls, or tapes. However as a fan of more niche genres like, slowcore, hardcore, emo, and shoegaze I always found it difficult to find copies of my favorite bands in those genres at most stores. Then when I moved to Japan I stumbled across nerds records through one of my favorite bands on instagram and was psyched to find a store that seemed to have exactly what I was looking for! Nerds specializes in all things related to any genre or even subgenre of alt rock.Every time I visit I’m surprised out how deep their selection is and I almost always find something to take home! Definitely check this place out if you love alt rock and hardcore!

Awesome little record store that focuses mainly on hardcore. Hands down the best selection for the genre I’ve seen in a store, with a mix of newer and more established/legendary bands. Also a great place to learn about upcoming shows and to pick up random rare merch such and shirts and stickers.
