If there is one thing you do when in Okinawa, we recommend a homestay in Ogimi village! My partner and I booked a 2x night homestay in Ogimi village in March 2026. From the organiser, to our lovely hosts Emiko and Kazuo , to our guide Rin and our lovely interpreter Rebecca we both felt right at home. Everyone truly went above and behind to make our stay there truly special and catered the experience just for us. We were able to see the magic of Ogimi village, including the close sense of community, the sites and participated in activities special to the village such as banshu kimono dressing and treking through the national park. We have made some lovely memories here and hope to come back one day soon and visit everyone we have met there.
