We recently took our car to B.C. Used Cars Garage for a pre-JCI inspection. We were told to remove the backup camera due to its LED lights, put the stock suspension springs back on, and remove the UV film from the front side windows. The aftermarket suspension had already passed when we previously came in for a leaky radiator issue, and they didn’t have a window tint meter to confirm whether the film (advertised as 80% light transparency) was legal or not.We were told when we bought the car that the tires would be replaced. We asked the garage multiple times to replace the dry-rotted tires, only to be told they were fine. After the actual JCI inspection, one headlight failed and those same tires were finally flagged and replaced. Thankfully, the tires and headlight housing were covered under warranty—so that was a positive.However, when we got the car back, we found several problems. All our freshly painted and clear-coated wheels were scratched around the rim and around the lug nuts. The engine intake was just lying in the engine bay (not attached), the rear headlight gasket (which keeps water out of the housing) was missing, the lug nuts weren’t torqued to spec, and the tires were inflated to 40 PSI when they should’ve been 29 PSI. While most of these were easy fixes, the fact that they didn’t tell us about the wheel damage was disappointing.If you decide to use this garage, make sure to thoroughly check your vehicle when you get it back. There have been some positives (like honoring the warranty), but too many careless mistakes that have made us lose confidence in their work.
If you don't buy your car from BC you're wrong. Service is always amazing anytime I needed maintenance on my car a rental was always provided at no charge. The detailed receipt after anything is done to the vehicle is always a plus!
4/8/2025 For all current BC motor drivers and those aspiring: if you notice something wrong with your car and you wait to take care of it, regardless of warranty you will pay for it.Context: I went TAD February and March, no issue with the car. I start regularly driving late March and noticed an increasingly loud noise coming from under the car. I make an appointment with the garage. I bring it in and notice a mechanic pull out with the car and reverse back into the parking spot. I’m informed the rear brake pad needs to be replaced, rear right brake rotor needs to be replaced, and there needs to be rear rotor resurfacing and that I have to pay for all of this bc I waited. I’m also told I have to leave the car and there are no loaner vehicles. Immediately, I’m confused and ask to speak to the manager. I’m explained the same exact thing. Due to waiting until the brakes were scraping and the rotor almost broke, I have to pay. This is part of the exclusion that I initialed upon purchasing the vehicle. I’m still somewhat confused and I think this is nonsensical. The manager says that she can compromise a discount (another flag that this is sketchy) and there are loaner vehicles available. I inquired about why was this not identified in October during my last oil change. I’m given the car, weather and unknown factors play a role in how the car operates and the mechanics do not check the entirety of the vehicle during oil changes. (Even though I know they allegedly rotate the tires.) I concede to pay $112 for the repair. I also ask if I can be informed if the left side will break anytime soon. Apparently their mechanics cannot provide recommendations or suggestions due to ppl have used their word against them in the past. Okinawa drivers beware.Update: 4/10/2025 I received a call at 11:05 my car is ready to be picked up. I was told that it would take at minimum 2 days as the manager was unsure if they had the parts readily accessible. I was shocked. I received a paid in full invoice detailing how calipers may break. I will still be filing a complaint.

Overall ⭐⭐⭐⭐BC Garage ⭐⭐⭐Miha ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐It’s apparent that BC Motors deals with a lot of entitled customers — you can sense it in their demeanor when you walk in or call. People can buy a car anywhere on island, but they come here mainly for the warranty. That said, if you read other reviews, you’ll see a pattern in how customers feel treated. My own experience has been consistent with that.However, I do want to highlight one positive: Miha (apologies if I misspelled her name). Out of all my calls while my car was in the shop, she was the only one who went above and beyond. She personally checked with the mechanics, came back with real answers, and gave me updates. That level of initiative and customer care stands out, and I’d give her service 5 stars on its own.Being updated on timelines is very important for a business that relies so heavily on its garage service as a selling point. Overall, I’d rate my experience 3 stars, but with Miha’s exceptional help factored in, I land at 4 stars.Good job Miha!
