Since Kadena is a bigger base they have lodging spread out throughout the base. Also since their are different Armed services whom work at this base there are 2 main divisions of billeting: the Shogun Inn (AF accommodations) and Gateway Inn (Naval/Marine Corp) rooms. Near the main billeting (Shogun Inn) for AF, the bldgs outside resembles/ remind me a a run down motel. This review in question is for Bldg 714. One of the newer built billeting on Lasena. If you are here TDY/in-processing and have no accompanied family members you will place/lodged her. The rooms are built like little studio apts. It has a microwave , full fridge & bed, a sink and walk up/sit down counter. The cleaning staff is very accommodating and sweet. If you forget your clothes in the washer as they are cleaning/adjust items they might place your clothing in the dryer. Would recommend!
The room was nice and comfortable, but the air-conditioning had a habit of not working.

It wasn't bad at all. The rooms are clean and have a nice little kitchenette in them. Another nice thing is that there are laundry facilities on every floor. It is a little bit far from everything but if you have a rental it's no biggie.

You can only get your portcall date so early and you can't make your reservation until you know when you are flying. We got our portcall as soon as we could and rushed to bulletin to reserve a pet room and they had nothing at all. The front desk associate was very helpful with accommodations elsewhere, which we had to go off base to a place not mentioned on the list. I ended up having to Google pet friendly hotels, calling around, until I found one that was in the TLA allowance rate (hard to do in Okinawa)!! Wish they had more rooms for the amount of people going in and out of the base include TDY members and perhaps converting more rooms to pet friendly ones since its especially difficult to find pet friendly off base places.

周辺のオススメ
Rooms were clean with no bugs. Amenities were hit or miss. Iron and ironing board were useful, shower was decent, and bed was comfortable. The couch was uncomfortable, there was no desk, and the kitchen was next to useless with no oven, stove, dishes or utensils. Just a full size fridge and a microwave. Great for short stays but a pain for anything over a week or two. Staff was very friendly.
