先日、旧友を探して直島町へ旅行も兼ねて行きました。そこでたまたまスタンドをみつけたので、もしかしたらわかるかもて思い、旧友の名前を出して尋ねたらみなさんであっちこっち電話して必死に探してくださいました。結果その日わかる事わありませんでしたが、直島の方ってこんなに優しくて、人情味がある方が多いのかって感動しました。それに直島のあちらこちら他では見られない観光名所がいっぱいあってまた行きたくなる場所でした。この町で生まれ育った方々は素晴らしいと思いました。この間は本当にお世話になりました。ありがとうございたした。😊

2023年1月3日に直島に訪問。年始なので営業されていないかもしれないとわかってましたが、色々あってここでガソリンを入れないとといけない状況になってしまいました。ワンチャン開いていると思って入ってみたら、そこに神様がいました。1月1、2、3日休業って書いてあったのに、なぜかエネオスのジャケットを羽織っているすごく優しそうなおじさんがトラックから降りてきて、私たちを誘導して、ガソリンを入れてくれました。本当に命の恩人です。休業日なのにご親切に対応していただき、誠にありがとうございました。感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです。一生忘れません。あけましておめでとうございます。We came here on the 3rd day of the new year. We had learned the hard way that most petrol stations might say they are open both on Google Maps and on the official website, but the reality is that people lie and no petrol stations are open. Which is fine, it is the new year. But we were running out of fuel and I am frankly not sure how much longer we could have gone on. Hence we pulled into one of only three petrol kiosks on Naoshima, hoping against hope that this one would be open. Alas, the sign on the door said that they were closed from the 1st to the 3rd. Dejected, we were about to pull out back onto the road when a friendly looking old man came out of a lorry that was parked at the kiosk. And as fate would have it, old mate was wearing an ENEOS jacket, and it turns out he worked there and had the keys to the place! He led our car to the gas pump, opened the office to handle the charges, pumped our gas for us, and sent us on our merry way. I will never forget him. Thank you sir. We owe you this entire trip. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
