箱根旧街道石畳（笹原地区）の特徴
箱根旧街道石畳を歩きながら、富士山の美しい景色を楽しめます。
スカイウォーク駐車場からアクセスしやすく、650mの散策コースがあります。
笹原地区では、大根やほうれん草が育つ農作物の風景が広がっています。
山中城址付近の旧街道です笹原地区かは不明、申し訳ありません。
旧東海道踏破チャレンジ。
風情のある石畳の道です。歩きにくいので、お年寄りは注意ですね。
箱根旧街道石畳の道をスカイウォーク駐車場口から、約650m程のここはなだらかな下り坂を根府川石が敷き詰められ笹原一里塚迄、この区間は笹藪は短い区間、後は高地を切り通して、今は大根畑やほうれん草などの作物が植えられて、晴れていれば富士山を仰ぎながら街道を歩いて目を楽しませてもらう事ができますよ。県道に交わる手前に道標があり、ここの表示を見逃すと笹原一里塚との出会いは有りませんから注意して下さい。
1997年に発掘復元された箱根旧街道の石畳1604年に幕府が整備した箱根街道かと思うと感慨深い石畳化されたのは1680年らしいので344年前なのかぁ。
なだらかに連なる新緑の山々、広がる畑、鳥たちがさえずる青い空。はるか先に広がっている町並みを眺めながら石畳の旧街道を歩いているとまるで異国を旅しているかのような錯覚にとらわれました。
三島市の箱根西麓・箱根旧街道整備事業で復元された石畳５カ所の内の一番下手に位置し、三島スカイウォーク前から笹原集落まで続きます。また、笹原集落からさらに続けて箱根旧街道の遊歩道整備も進んでいることから、三島市街地へ向けてさらに足を進めることが出来ます。笹原集落の終点にはバス停があることから、山中城祉の駐車場を利用してウオーキングする方は、ここで折り返しのバスを利用でき大変便利です。日中は１時間に一本路線バスが運行されていますので、出発時間はスマホ等で事前にご確認ください。

The most authentic section is the "Ishidatami" (stone-paved path) between Moto-Hakone and Amazake-chaya. You can take a Hakone Tozan Bus to the "Kyu-kaido-ishidatami-iriguchi" stop to begin your hike. Avoid private cars as there is limited parking near the trailheads.・ time90-120 min for a steady walk through the main forest sections. To fully experience the Edo-period atmosphere, start your hike early in the morning (around 8:30 AM) when the forest is quiet and the sunlight filters through the ancient cedar trees. Expect fewer crowds than the lake area.・ OutfitProfessional hiking boots or sturdy sneakers with excellent grip are mandatory. The 400-year-old stone steps are mossy, uneven, and extremely slippery, especially after rain. Exploring the old road is best combined with a stay at a traditional ryokan, allowing you to soak in an onsen after the strenuous uphill and downhill segments of the historical mountain pass.・ EatA visit to "Amazake-chaya," a historic teahouse operating since the Edo period, is essential. traditional non-alcoholic Amazake (sweet sake) and Chikara-mochi (pounded rice cakes).
