Super nice place! They accepted me to stay with very small advance. I had a full tatami room just for me, had a delicious dinner, they made me do a laundry and the next morning the old lady of the hostel gave me an energy drink since I’m traveling solo by bicycle around Japan. Clean, beautiful and lovely
Wonderful place with a magic like atmosphere!We stayed for one night. The rooms are big and pretty with futons. You can stay there with dinner and breakfast. Totally recommend it! The food was so delicious and the hot bath is amazing!Warmly recommend and big thanks to the lovely host couple!!

密厳寺境内に位置する小さな宿泊施設です。
空気が澄んで雲海も観れる 牡丹がとても綺麗で開放的。
素晴らしい場所。見つけるのは難しくありません、駐車するスペースがたくさん。ホストは私たちに挨拶し、補完的な飲み物を提供しました。部屋はゆったりとしていて、快適な布団がありました。ベッドではなく、まだ完全に快適。私たちはそこで夕食を作りました、そしてホストは鍋やフライパン、炊飯器などを含む必要なものすべてを提供することに親切でした。また、出発前の朝にホストを見つけるのは少し大変でした。しかし、それ以外は素晴らしい滞在でした。（原文）Great place. Not hard to find, lots of room to park. Host greeted us and provided complementary drinks. Room was spacious and had comfy futons. Not beds but still totally comfortable. We cooked dinner there and the host was kind to provide everything necessary, including pots u0026 pans, a rice cooker etc. The bathroom was totally adequate, but the male toilets were eastern squatting style making it a bit uncomfortable. Also was a bit hard to locate the host in the morning before leaving. However, apart from that a great stay.

ここのおばちゃんの焼きそばめっちゃ美味しい。
We stayed 3 nights, and loved it. The YH is attached to a temple. The priest and his wife are the wardens. They are kind and helpful, with the few words we share. They fetch you in the afternoon (17-18), and bring you to the station in the morning (7-8). The food is good, typical Japanese. You sleep in tatami rooms for 4 or 8 pax. The hostel is 12 min drive from the station (5 km), high up the mountain slope. You can walk on the small roads among hamlets, bamboo grooves and fields. They have a beautiful peony garden within 400 peonies that just started blooming. We made a day trip to Iya Valley. Taxi 2580 yrn from Oboke. Very recommendable. And a very rewarding day trip to the shinto shrine in Kotohira (come early, with the devotees, before the schools arrive, and climb to the top shrine, where shrine and nature merge). The 3rd day we just walked around.||This is the most vibrant Lodging during our 4 w stay in Japan.
