最近、サ三夜と刻まれた石碑を見かけてこれってなんだろう？といつも考えていました。ふとした事から調べてみると二十三夜塔と呼ばれる民間信仰で二十三夜の夜に月の出をまちながら人々が飲み食いをした風習があり月の出を待つ事から月待塔とも呼ばれています。その、今で言うお月見をした場所に立てられたものらしいです。月齢にはそれぞれ信仰の対象となる如来、菩薩、観音があるそうで二十三夜は勢至菩薩です。ちなみに十五夜は大日如来だそうです。この習わしは８世紀頃から昭和初期まであったそうです。Recently, I saw a stone monument engraved with SasanyaWhat is this?
