Tsuboya Pottery Center is located at the entrance of Tsuboya Yachimun Street, which is filled with pottery shops. This listing is specifically for the pottery shop (Room A) within the Tsuboya Potttery Center, which is actually a museum. The shop sells ceramic housewares and home decor items. Think cups, dishes and plates as well as figurines and vases.I was looking for a shisa figurine set. Shisa resemble the lion statues that front many Chinatowns and are used to ward off evil spirits. I checked a number of shops on Yachimun Street for shisa figurines. I found some of the ones to be cheap looking or I did not like the style. I was about to leave, resigned that I would not find one that I like until I stopped in as my last stop.After perusing the store, I finally found one that I liked. I brought it up to the shopkeeper, who did not speak English and was trying to communicate something that I could not understand. Eventually, I figured out that the price specified was actually for a set rather than just one, which made my purchase more worthwhile. If you are looking to buy locally made pottery, I recommend visiting Yachimun Street. This shop at the entrance is worth a look based on the quality of the shisa set I purchased here.
シーサーが欲しくてやちむん通りで最初に入ってみました。他の店もみましたがシーサーならここが品揃えが一番かなと思いました。シーサーはここで買いました。
シーサーの取り扱いがかなり多いですね。
色々な窯の作品を置いていますお値段はほぼほぼ、他の店舗と同じに感じました。
様々な窯の作品を販売しているが品ぞろえはやちむん通りの中でもベストな水準と個人的には感じた。
