My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon and we enjoyed it very much. Very beautiful traditional home with an excellent riverside view. Our host was very attentive and even acted as our translator for an activity that we did. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Kyoto that wants to feel a bit outside of the overly crowded areas.The location is very convenient between multiple train and bus stations/stops. There are many bars and restaurants nearby.I do think it should be mentioned that this is a two story home, with the master on the top level. Your stay here would be most comfortable if you’re comfortable with walking up and down stairs frequently.
