下に根がうねっている。案内板に書いてないことを補足すると、明治に大火があり、一帯の杉が焼けてしまい、高台のこの木が残ったそうだ。 The roots are undulating down. To add to what is not written on the information board, there was a big fire in the Meiji era (1894), and the cedars in the area were burnt down, leaving this tree on the hill.
