Spent a lovely hour or so choosing a vintage kimono and then being helped to customise into 2 pieces that will make it much more practical to wear! Aki and her team were lovely - helping direct the cutting and ironing and then showing us how to dress in the kimonos and getting photos. Kiba park nearby is a great spot for casual lunch - best hot dog ever! . You can pay to upgrade with a fancier kimono and accessories.
This experience was truly one of the highlights of my trip. Being able to create my own kimono was such a unique and unforgettable experience, and I learned so much throughout the process.Aki was absolutely wonderful. She was incredibly kind, patient, and passionate, and she shared so many fascinating insights about Japanese culture along the way. She made the entire experience feel personal and special, and her warmth and enthusiasm were contagious. She is truly an angel!I can wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Japan. It’s not just a workshop—it’s a beautiful cultural experience that you’ll remember forever. Thank you, Aki, for creating such a special memory. 🥹

Such an incredible experience! We had the most amazing time learning about kimono making and getting hands-on with the process. The craftsmanship, attention to detail, and artistry behind every step was genuinely fascinating. The staff were so warm, patient, and knowledgeable, making the whole experience feel welcoming, special, and authentic.It gave us such a deeper appreciation for Japanese culture and the incredible skill involved in traditional kimono making. One of the absolute highlights of our trip — memorable, beautiful, and something we’ll be talking about for a long time. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Japan!

We had such a great experience making kimono that are more user friendly with Yoko-san! We both appreciated the variety of antique kimono to choose from, and loved the kimono we made and got to keep. We then wore the kimono by ourselves to Kyoto’s Arashiyama. Highly recommend this unique experience! ありがとうございました ようこさん と その他のスタッフ！
