We had an amazing experience with Road Trip Japan! Driving from Tokyo to Mount Fuji in our van was truly the highlight of our entire trip. The team was incredibly friendly, patient, and always happy to answer all of our questions. The van was clean, comfortable, and easy to drive. It gave us the freedom to explore hidden spots and see a more authentic side of Japan. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique adventure!
We had the most amazing roadtrip with Bongo! Yuka and Toshiya were really helpful. The van is really spacious for sleeping and has a lot of storage room. Going up hills was no problem. Exploring the countryside of Japan is amazing with this vehicle. 🙌🏼🇯🇵😊
Super expérience de 10 jours en van au départ de Tokyo. Nous avons pu explorer la péninsule d'Izu, plusieurs vallées des alpes japonaises jusqu'à la ville de Kanazawa et les côtes de la mer du Japon!Le van loué par Yuka et Toshiya est compact et se faufile sans problème sur toutes les routes que nous avons rencontré. Il y a tout ce qu'il faut à l'intérieur pour cuisiner et dormir confortablement. Nous avons dormi presque exclusivement dans des Michi No Eki, des aires d'arrêt que l'on trouve un peu partout sur la route.Le Japon regorge de beaux paysages et de coins à visiter, c'est un vrai plaisir que de pouvoir quitter la ville et explorer le pays librement!Les processus de réservation et de paiement se sont très bien déroulé, et Yuka nous a accompagné en anglais à toutes les étapes.Merci beaucoup!!
Superbe expérience en van au Japon: nous avons pu voir les Alpes japonaises et des routes sans personne... Le van est confortable, il y a tout ce qu'il faut pour cuisiner et nous n'avons pas eu froid (temperature min 5° la nuit).Avec les onsen partout au Japon il est très facile de se doucher et les camping ground sont également très pratiques et courants.Merci !!
We had a fantastic time exploring Japan with the Road Trip Japan campervan! Yuka and Toshiya were great to hire the van from and made the whole experience smooth and easy for us. The van is very comfortable and clean. It has all the cooking equipment and bedding we needed. We loved the flexibility of van life which allowed us to explore northern Honshu for a month. I would highly recommend to hire from Road Trip Japan to get to see Japan and live like a local.
Rented a van for our trip to Japan in April. Yuka was super helpful and responsive both before and during the trip. The vanette was a good size - small enough to navigate narrow roads with no issue but still a comfortable size for two to sleep in. It was great having the flexibility to explore more inaccessible places and being able to change plans on a whim. Would definitely recommend!
After watching Yuru Camp during the pandemic lockdown, we were eager to experience camping in Japan but we had no experience in setting up a tent so we thought the best way, was to do it via a campervan. That was definitely the best decision we made, as it allowed us to try visit several onsens and go on the off beaten path for 5 days, across the Fuji Five Lakes and West Izu.Rather than a typical corporate van rental service, RoadTripJapan's owners Yuka and Toshiya were very personal and showed true Japanese hospitality in explaining the road rules and common required words. I learned 3 important words from Yuka: "Regurar", "Mantan", and "Genkin", which means regular fuel, full tank and payment via cash. Those were the only 3 words I need for our road trip.The van is also well stocked with comfortable bedding, blankets, as well a portable stove with a pot and pan if you want to cook at camp grounds. It also has enough power to climb high altitudes like the Nishi-Izu Skyline; but do check weather forecast for strong wind and rain for safety when going on road trip.

This was the best decision we made on our hole Japan trip. Yuka & Toshiya were super helpful, responsive and welcoming. The van itself was well-equipped and perfect for a road trip. Traveling at our own pace allowed us to discover beautiful places we would have otherwise missed. It’s such a special experience, and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Japan!
