I'm an outlier on my thoughts on this place as I didn't enjoy it. The lady was really friendly and nice and the place was lovely for a take out stall. I do however get the impression that the owners lack a familiarity with what Mexican food tastes like.Taco de Cameron (shrimp) was breaded in doughy rice flour (?) and tasted really strange to me. Taco de carne (meat) was a bit better but really tasted more like the meat was flavored like an taco spice mixture package used from Tex Mex tacos of Okinawan Taco Rice. Tortilla was undercooked doughy but tasted decent.
For anyone driving: the taco stand is right on a corner, so you may need to approach slowly in order to park. I had to do a few three point turns as my car is on the larger side.Mexican food is one of my biggest cravings out here in Kyushu. I definitely wasn’t expecting to find any in Kawaminami!I got the taco set: shrimp, chicken, and chili. It’s REALLY hard to pick a favorite, but the shrimp was very narrowly in first place for me. It included pan-cooked shrimp, onions and tomatoes, guacamole, and jalapeños. It has been SO LONG since I had a good jalapeño. I wonder if they grow their own?Either way, the food was amazing. I took it to go. The woman who served me was very kind and prompt. I enjoyed sitting in front of the railroad crossing with farmlands all around me. The setting is quaint. I’ll definitely come again!
Stopped here a month ago on my bike tour the owner was so nice explaining everything on the menu! Food was good definitely scratched my mexican food itch while being on the road in japan!
