休憩所の特徴
駅に近い奈良公園で、鹿たちがモリモリ餌を食べる場所です。
鹿煎餅飛ばしコンテストを楽しめるユニークな体験が待っています。
梅雨時でも屋根付きで、鹿たちとの触れ合いを楽しむことができます。
春日神社から東大寺二月堂方面に行く途中にあります。奈良公園の喧騒から逃れたい方にはおすすめのスポットです。写真は撮影した時間が早朝だったので、鹿さんもまだお休みのようでした。
母親が小学校修学旅行に来たみたいでどうしても行きたいと言われたので行ってきました75年前とイメージが違ったみたいだけど当たり前まだ閉山していたので遊歩道をゆっくり歩いて鹿にせんべいをあげながら散歩してきました若草山に登りたかったみたいだけど目の前にして思っていたより斜面が急で杖をついて登るのには難しいと潔く諦めてました最近は昔のことを思い出しそこへ連れて行って欲しいと言われることが多いけど道中の道も景色も当時とは全く変化しているので改めて自分の年齢を感じているみたいでした楽しい奈良旅行でした。

I love this part of Nara park because there is less crowd in conparison to the flat area, this is at the foot of Wakakuda hill and there are deer roaming as well. So if you would like photos of deer with less crowd this is where you should be. It's just a short hike from the Deer Park and Todaiji temple.

Watching the sunset while deer graze nearby adds a magical, almost surreal atmosphere.It’s a peaceful and scenic spot that captures the essence of Nara in autumn — gentle nature, wildlife, and unforgettable views.
若草山山焼きで特別観覧席予約するとここが中央ゲートで優先入場の入口になります。交通規制、一般入口は人が溢れていますが、優先ゲートはお金はかかりますが、メリットもあり。毎年1月第4土曜日が山焼きの開催日です。650席位のうち旅行会社が400席弱確保するようです。旅行会社、ツアーだと5列位ある席の前から1列目、2列目、3列目を割り当てられていることが多そうで旅行会社利用のメリットかもしれません。
