We had an excellent stay at this guesthouse, on our first night on the Kumano Kodo. Michihiro-san was extremely welcoming, and we really enjoyed speaking to him. He was kind enough to pick us up and drop us off on the Kumano Kodo trail and drive us to a local konbini to get supplies for dinner and snacks for the hike. The guesthouse was very clean and in a beautiful calm location. We slept with the window open so we could listen to the sound of the stream - "Seseragi" or せせらぎ, as Michihiro-san taught us. Breakfast was copious and easily prepared in the kitchen. The futons were also very comfortable! Thank you for this excellent stay!
Beautiful cottage in a quiet area surrounded by trees run by Kobo San. We had the whole place to ourselves. This place can easily accommodate 6 people with a large kitchen and dining area. Nice for groups. Host was gracious and helpful.
The host Mr. Michihiro was very helpful and clear with communication. He was very thoughtful to my questions and extra needs l. We celebrated a birthday during our stay and he got cake and sushi for us! We were super happy to have stayed there and made a local connection. The place was new and clean! I imagine once all the hydrangea blossom, it’s gonna be magical!
Minpaku Stream IshiburiIs one of the few accommodations on this side of the Kumano Kodo westside main route.Kubo San and Wife and gracious and will pick you up and deliver you back to the start at the Travel center in the little Village. it is spacious with a large kitchen and the sound of the stream all through the night, which runs right by the house. even though we had a little cloud haze, the stars are quite magnificent..A quiet day in a traditional home and a very natural remote setting.A great start to our pilgrimage trek!thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Kubo!
グループ・連泊でお世話になりました！おうちはとてもきれいで、必要なものもすべて揃っていました。朝ごはんのメニューやキッチンの小物などオーナーさんの心遣いやこだわりの感じられ、とても楽しい時間になりました。家のそばには川があり、夜は静かで星空がとても綺麗です。熊野古道へ行くのにとても便利な場所で、助かりました。滝尻周辺への送り迎え、買出しにも連れて行ってもらえます。グループでも、少人数でもおすすめです！また遊びに行きます！
Beautiful remodeled guesthouse in a peaceful river-side location. The inside is new, very clean, and very comfortable. And you can see the stars and hear the rushing water outside. FANTASTIC for small or large groups of people.The managers are incredibly kind and accommodating. Each day, they picked us up from our hiking destinations, took us to the nearby Lawson's for food and supplies, and even provided us with tasty and varied breakfast foods and snacks.The house boasts onsite laundry, a fully equipped kitchen, and a chill patio on which to hang out under the stars.Would absolutely recommend if you're hiking Kumanokodo or visiting the area.
Great facilities in a nice location next to a stream. The building was clean and fresh, with modern amenities. We had a comfortable stay, with breakfast items provided. The laundry machine was also great to freshen up clothes while on the kumano kodo
We had an absolutely fantastic stay: incredibly comfortable, very kind and accommodating host, and lovely scenery. If you are in the area, you couldn't ask for more!
