旧細渕家煉瓦製造用煙突の特徴
明治以来の細渕家が営んだ醤油醸造の歴史があります。
昭和20年代には煉瓦製造業も手掛けていました。
耕心館に関連する魅力的な文化遺産です。
耕心館の旧所有者であった細渕家は明治以来醤油醸造を営んできましたが、昭和２０年代に数年間煉瓦製造業を営みました。この煙突はそのとき使用されたものです。原材料の粘土は日光街道と旧国道１６号線の交差点東側の山際から採掘したものと愛知県常滑産のものとを併用しました。この煙突は新たな技術展開を図った地場産業の貴重な遺産です。
Seems to be some kind of local museum. You can learn about the history of Mizuho with lots of artifacts on display. It was nice to see typewriters and other things from the old days. It was not crowded and there was no waiting. If you have young kids this would be good for them also since they have some interactive displays. If you are into daruma you can see several large ones on display. A very interesting find indeed. Check it out if you’re around here.
