I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful machiya-style house with a lovely modern touch. The balance of traditional atmosphere and modern comfort made it a very special experience. The host was extremely kind and understanding, and communication was smooth throughout. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well-prepared. I’d love to stay here again and highly recommend this place!

Beautiful house and amenities. Very close to aeon mall and easy to get around. Just watch your head if you're tall as i bumped my head a few times lol

It was such a beautiful experience staying in this 100-year old Konrai ryokan. Although it is old, it felt new and has modern facilities like electric heater, heated floor, wifi, blue tooth speaker, outdoor tub, electric stove, etc.The house is located in a very quiet road of the city but it's walking distance to many restaurants and to the Matsumoto castle.The host was very friendly and helpful. While she doesn't speak English, there is no communication issue at all. She had a small translator device and we used google translate in our conversations. She recommended local, non-touristy restaurants and had helped us making reservations there. Those are ones of the best meals we had in Japan. We felt like we had a caring grandma taking care of us during our stay there.I felt so privileged to stay there.
