Wow!!! This house was a dream come true, the pictures don’t do it justice! We only stayed for 3 nights but I wanted to stay forever! It is a beautiful place with thoughtful details, such as the feature window facing a rock garden in the bedroom. The upstairs living area, including the outdoor deck was huge, and the kitchen was fully equipped. Our host Feby was extremely responsive and went out of the way to make our stay exceptional. We found a lovely local restaurant down the street. If you want an authentic, quiet, neighborhood vibe in Kyoto, this is the place for you!
Maison japonaise très bien équipée. Nous étions une famille de 4 personnes. Pour aller à l’étage l’escalier est un peu raide donc pas recommandée aux personnes avec difficulté de mobilité.Elle est située à l’est de Kyoto dans un quartier très calme mais en hauteur donc il faut grimper pour y accéder.
Une maison japonaise bien équipée. Nous la pensions un peu excentrée mais en fait bien située par rapport au centre ville, d'autant que nous avions loué des vélos électriques chez un loueur renseigné par Charlie (de Japan expérience). Kyoto est une ville très cyclable.Les musées etc étaient facilement accessibles. 3 ou 4 restaurants dans le quartier.Un grand merci à Japan expérience (Charlie et Claire) très réactifs et disponibles face à nos demandes.
Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le charme de la maison, très typique, très grande, superbement rénovée et d'une propreté irréprochable. Nous avons également beaucoup aimé la quiétude du quartier à proximité du superbe parc Yoshidayama. Et cerise sur le gâteau, les house angels sont aux petits soins pour s'assurer que le séjour se passe bien. Nous recommandons vivement !

My family vacation to Japan included 3 nites in Tokyo, the Shinkansen ride to Kyoto where we stayed 3 nites at Kurodani House. Its up a hill and practically next door to a large park. There's a Torii gate entrance to the park. The 2 bedroom home is really spacious. Both bedrooms are on the 1st level and some steep stairs leads upstairs to the kitchen and livingroom. There's also an outdoor patio with table & chairs for relaxing. There's a 13/15 cubic ft refrigerator and a 40inch smart tv with basic cable. All the comforts of home. There's a 7/11 closeby and several bakeries within a 10-15 minute walk. The home is in a local neighborhood away from the touristy areas. I will be using Japan Experience for accomodations again, in 5 yrs. My grandson want to see japan again for his 12th birthday but only if he's learned some japanese, so he can be our guide.
