Wonderful traditional house, spacious, feels like home, the host very very kind and so helpfull.. Perfecto.. 👍👌😍.. will stay again someday next time..
Amazing house. Recommend 100%
well maintained house. a little bit old, but has all you need.
We just stayed here (Nov 2025) and it was a nice experience. The owners/operators are very helpful and friendly.I think it's important for anyone staying here to know what to expect, so I'll try to share my experience. The house itself is not a modern home. It is a rustic older Japanese style home, so you should understand that. As a foreigner who lives and works in Japan (and whose spouse in Japanese), I am familiar with older Japanese homes. Tourists from other countries may not be familiar though, so some things may not be as you expect. For example, the home doesn't have centralized heating/cooling and the house is not insulated. The outside temperature was chilly when we stayed there, so it felt chilly indoors too. Therefore, there we stayed warm with a space heater in the living room, an electric room heater on the wall, and a kotatsu (which is a table with a heater underneath to keep your legs warm). This was enough to keep us warm. In the bedroom, we slept on futon and had an electric heater on the wall to keep us warm. It felt very cozy with the temperature being in the 30's at night (Fahrenheit). The bath area is Japanese style, so maybe unusual for some westerners. It was fine for us though. I was a little nervous showering in there, because I was worried the water would damage the drywall. The walls aren't fiberglass or tile like you might expect in a bathroom. My wife used the bathtub and she enjoyed the Japanese style o-furo.The toilet is separate in a small, closet-like room. That felt a bit cramped for me. I'm only 5'6", so I think anyone over 6 foot tall might feel very uncomfortable. Also, I believe the toilet uses a septic system, so there were times when it was stinky in the house (although, it could have been from a neighboring house). We didn't really use the upstairs, but it is important to watch your head when going up or down the stairs. Again, I'm not very tall, but I felt nervous about hitting my head. Anyone taller than me would really need to pay extra attention. The house doesn't have a direct view of Mt Fuji, but a 2 minute walk puts it into view. It is a very nice location to see Mt Fuji in the morning.Overall, I would recommend the house, the location, and the owners. It was a very lovely experience.
We had an amazing time staying at the in of Ayumi. She is super kind and the house was clean and had all the amenities we neeeded. Trulery positive experience! /Anwar & Weronika
